With the Scheepjes Kumihimo Loom kit you can make the loveliest (friendship) bracelets. Kumihimo is an ancient Japanese braiding art: 'kumi' means braiding and 'himo' means cord. This Kumihimo kit is perfect for anyone who wants to get to know this beautiful technique and is ideal for children! The kit contains two Kumihimo disks, because what could be more fun than crafting together?! Kumihimo promotes fine motor skills, artistic expression and social interaction. The possibilities of this craft kit are endless. With the yarn in the kit you can make more than 100 bracelets and with the included colour scheme you can design new patterns yourself in a fun and easy way. You braid the straps with Scheepjes Larra, a 100% mercerised Cotton yarn with a beautiful shine in a fingering weight and Scheepjes Twinkle, a yarn with a subtle glitter, made from 75% Cotton and 25% Polyester. The Kumihimo disk made of sturdy foam plastic makes braiding easy. Fix the yarn in one of the 32 slits around the disc, so that they do not get tangled during braiding. The disk is lightweight and compact and therefore perfect to take with you, on the go.
